Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married in a drive-through chapel in Las Vegas late at night on Saturday. This ended a relationship that lasted over 20 years, included two separate relationships, and made the front page of countless tabloids.

Lopez told her fans that they got married in a newsletter she sent out on Sunday. The title of the newsletter was “We did it.” Lopez first announced that they were getting married in April in her newsletter “On the J Lo.”

“Love is lovely. Love is kind. Love is patient, it turns out. Twenty years of patience, “Lopez wrote that in a note that Jennifer Lynn Affleck signed.

According to Lopez the couple, took a weekend flight to Las Vegas, got married in little White Chapel, which also has a drive-through “tunnel of love,” just after midnight, after waiting in line for their licenses with four other couples. According to Lopez, a Bluetooth speaker played music during their brief procession down the aisle. It was the greatest night they had ever had, according to her.

Lopez said, “If you stick around long enough, you might find the best ever moment of your life in a Las Vegas drive-through at 12:30 a.m. in the tunnel of love drive-through with your kids and the person you’ll spend the rest of your life with.”

On Sunday, the Clark County Clerk’s Office in Nevada confirmed that the couple had obtained a marriage license on Saturday and that it had been processed. It appears that Jennifer Lopez intends to take the name Jennifer Affleck upon her marriage.

Reps for Lopez and Affleck didn’t want to say anything.

Before getting back together last year, Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, were famously dating around early 2000s, when they got the nickname “Bennifer.” They worked together before in the movies Gigli in 2003 and Jersey Girl in 2004. They got engaged around that time, but they never got married.

In 2005, Affleck married Jennifer Garner. He has three children with her. In 2018, they split up.

Lopez has already been married three times. From 1997 to 1998, she was briefly married to Ojani Noa. From 2001 to 2003, she was briefly married to Cris Judd. She has been the wife of singer Marc Anthony since 2004. They have twins who are 14 years old.
