The accident left him with an extremely severe brain injury. He was placed on life support. The doctor told him the odds were 90% possibility that he wouldn’t be able to get out of the coma of his beautiful bride.
Her doctor suggested she be removed from her young husband from support.
“They claimed that they’d cut the cord if it were them. “That’s what their families would want,” Danielle Davis said to WTOC.
She was not interested.
“I was convinced that God could see us through this. “I didn’t think it was too big for God,” she said.
Danielle Davis told a Georgia television station, “He said ‘I’m trying.”
She posted her GoFundMe website. She said it was the “greatest thing” she had ever heard.
When Matt awakened, he could not recall the last three years, including his wedding and his father’s demise.
“I didn’t realize the father of my son was DEAD. I didn’t even realize the fact that I had a wife. I had no idea,” he told the television station.
In the years from when the Crash, Danielle Davis said her husband has made extraordinary advancements and is not taking medication today.
Matt Davis has been in rehab, which has seen him make “drastic” progress in learning to walk, Danielle Davis wrote on the GoFundMe page.
The man is trying to recover his memory and cannot recall Danielle before the CRAsH.
Even Matt Davis does not remember getting married or dating the woman he was married to. During an interview on ABC News, he said he was “sure glad I married her.”
Danielle Davis started the GoFundMe account to help pay for her husband’s rehabilitation expenses so they can “reach his full potential.”
