Steve Greig felt still crushed months after the death of his dog. That is when he decided to make a difference.

“I felt terrible about it for a month and a half.”

“I decided that the only thing that would make me feel better was if I experienced something that wasn’t possible if he hadn’t died.”

He was determined to help another rescue dog get the life they deserve.

“So I adopted a Chihuahua 12 years old with a heart murmur, four bad knees and a heart murmur”

“… And that was only the beginning of all the animals”

He adopted the dogs that were unlikely to be adopted, the ones who are often forgotten, and gave them a place.

He is the loving and very busy dad of ten elderly rescue dogs (a chicken, a turkey, and a pig).

Greig rises at 5 AM every morning to prepare breakfast for his family of animals. It is particularly difficult because most animals have different diets.

His schedule then includes vet visits, walks in the park and lots of cuddles and love.

Greig posted on his Instagram account, “Whenever I sit down or lie down at dog-friendly levels, there are always at minimum three or four [dogs] attached.”

They are just smarter animals. Once you reach a certain age strong>, you will know what you want from life.

“The older dogs are able to identify themselves and form a bond with their owners.”

It makes my days worthwhile knowing these cute animals are loved and cared for. It makes my day worthwhile .”

“A typical day for me involves getting up at five o’clock in the morning to make breakfast for my family”

“Which you know, there are 10 [dogs] with different diets.”

“[Senior canines] are just smarter animals”

“They make it feel like home”

It’s so satisfying to know that these guys love and are well-taken after

It makes my days worth it
